Brief, critical essay. Identify the main argument of the reading(s) and critically discuss key themes using one or two analytical questions. Think in terms of three components to your brief essay:
Summary: What? What is the author saying? Arguing? Rely on a few key analytical questions to help you figure this out.
Analysis: How does the author support their argument? What underlying assumptions are implied?
Assessment: Is the author successful or not in supporting their argument? What is the significance of the argument? Why is it important?
