Critically explore how the child and family health clinician may promote
the formation of a secure attachment relationship between an infant
(birth to twelve months of age) and his/her mother.
Note: It is acknowledged that a child may also form an attachment relationship with
their father and other significant caregivers. For the purpose of this essay, though,
you are asked to focus on an infant’s relationship with his/her mother only.
